We all know about that Louisiana heat, and the humidity that comes with it! Cool off and come join Tujague’s for Coolinary 2019 throughout the month of August. Coolinary celebrates the New Orleans unique culinary experience with restaurants offering specially curated and priced menu items. To celebrate the Coolinary season, during the month of August, Tujague’s own Chef Robey is offering a 3-course dinner menu for $39 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Follow along to learn more about some of our favorite dishes from this year’s Coolinary menu. 

1st Course

We know you are probably looking for something a little on the light side. For the first course, try the Blueberry and Arugula Salad, topped with shaved sweet onions, crumbled goat cheese, cornbread croutons, and drizzled with a champagne vinaigrette. Another 1st-course option is the delicious “Crab Boil” Vichyssoise. This dish features all of the flavors of a New Orleans crab boil, blended into a velvety cold potato soup, garnished with choupique caviar.

2nd Course 

Moving on to the main entrees, these dishes feature many Louisiana flavors, such as the Alligator Sauce Piquante. This entree includes tender pieces of Louisiana gator in a traditional sauce, served with spiced pecan rice. Another great option is the Cast Iron Jumbo Scallops, complemented with a truffled white bean salad and crispy sweet potatoes. Last but not least, is the savory Crispy Soft Shell Crab, featuring green onion roasted corn grits, grilled red onion and cucumber salad, with a traditional ravigote sauce.

3rd Course

Now, let’s fix that sweet tooth! We are featuring a tasty Individual Key Lime Pie, served with cherry coulis, whipped cream, and mint. Another great dessert option is our famous Grasshopper Panna Cotta.
